Bridge Club des Aravis
The Bridge Club des Aravis has its headquarters in La Clusaz.
It organises bridge tournaments, approved by the French Bridge Federation, all year round, on Mondays and Thursdays at 4.30pm, allowing players to do various activities earlier in the day.
The club has 53 members (27 of whom are licensed), both permanent and secondary residents of the Aravis. It also welcomes with pleasure, visiting players, of all levels, from beginners to the most experienced players.
The tournaments are held in a serious manner, but in a friendly and convivial atmosphere, in a large and confortable room, in the centre of La Clusaz, just next to the librairy and the central car park at 15 Route de l'Etale, on the 3rd floor, accessible by lift.
In 2022, sanitary rules are still recommanded : vacination is compulsory to be able to play, and wearing a mask is optional. Hydroalcoholic gel is available at each table. An air purifer has been installed.
The club organises a major competition, every year, in early August, the Lake and Moutain tournament, which attracts many players from the Annecy area.
Each year, about 30 members gather up in September for a one-week bridge stay, in Alsace in 2021, in La Grande Motte this year, mixing tourism and bridge in friendly atmosphere.
A project is being studied in ordr to give free advanced training by a qualified instructor. Advanced training course are organised to improve the pleasure to play, with very attractive conditions.
Our club will be pleased to welcome new members who could "develop their sense of analysis and strategy, as well as their spirit of synthesis for younger ones and to stimulate their memory to delay the ageing of the brain for the older ones".
