Coming by bus from Geneva

Evian, Thonon, Yvoire, Ripaille ... the French shore of Lake Geneva welcomes you, and if you have time, continue to Geneva and neighboring Switzerland or, by boat, to Lausanne (Olympic Museum).


The harbor of Geneva
If the Rhône is the backbone of Geneva, the harbor is certainly the best-known face , with its famous jet of water.

It found its final place in the harbor in 1891. It is equipped with a pumping station propelling 500 liters of water per second to 140 meters high and 200km per hour

The Nations Palace
The United Nations headquarters since 1946 is located in the heart of a vast wooded park overhanging the lake. It is the second largest United Nations center after New York.

Yvoire, on the shore of the Léman Lake.

Medieval village, Yvoire is already a lordship when Amédée V, Count of Savoie, decide in the beginning of the 14th century to make it an impregnable fortress.
It is good nowadays to go through the little street which go down to the shore.
This burg, which is a member of the organization of the Most Beautiful Villages of France has celebrate is 700 anniversary in 2006.

Restored according to the Art of the Middle Age Garden, the maze propose you an initiatory walk for the body and the spirit:  Fruit trees, medicinal and aromatic plants , elders roses, vegetal cloister , fountain... are pure delight.

Its Cathedral
In the heart of the city, the Cathedral of Lausanne majestically overlooks the city. It's considered as one of the most beautiful monument of the Gothic Art of Europe.

By boat
To reach switzerland , the easiest way is to take a boat from Evian or Thonon to reach the city of Lausanne.
